The objectives for the TACVPR are : To enhance the exchange of information between cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs and to provide a directory of programs and professionals in Tennessee. To provide professional education through sponsorship and/or promotion of educational conferences, scientific meetings and publications. To establish a consensus and publish standards of practice for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation in the state of Tennessee To provide a unified voice regarding imporant issues in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation to the state legislature, commercial insurance carriers and federal government agencies. To promote, throughout the public sector, an understanding of the nature of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation and to increase awareness of related health care services. To encourage and provide information for the development of new cardiac and pulmonary programs throughout the state of Tennessee. |
TACVPR Statement of Purpose: Recognizing that the professions involved in providing cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation represent multi-disciplinary fields, the TACVPR is dedicated to the improvement of clinical practice, enhancement of communications between professionals, promotion of scientific inquiry and the advancement of education for the benefit of health care professionals and the public. |
